How to read the rankings
There are 3 rankings you'll want to pay attention to, each calculated taking into account different factors:
Overall Rank: This is the overall rank based only on finishing time.Division Rank: This is the rank based on the age group, sex, and finishing time. For example, for Women aged 40-44.Effort % Rank: This rank effectively takes an individuals best time and ranks the effort adjusting for both age and sex. This allows a comparison across age and sex. For example, a 59 year-old woman may run a 3:30:00, compared to a 39 year old man running a 2:43:00. Although the man's time is faster, adjusting for age and sex the woman's time is more impressive. The Effort Rank % in this case is 20% for the woman but 24% for the man.No Tokyo Results 🈳
Why not Tokyo? Because Tokyo makes it incredibly difficult to read the results of its participants, so until a more friendly format is provided, these results will be excluded.
Known Issues 🚩
Effort will be made in future updates to help mitigate the following issues.
Duplicate Names: Due to the limited information provided by race results, duplicate names will be merged into a single record . If someone shares your name and is faster, congratulations! You just moved up in the rankings. For now, try submitting a time and viewing runners with a similar profile to get an idea for your true ranking.Age Ranges: Some races only provide an age range for an individual, in this case, when calculating statistics for an individual, each will be assumed to be at the right-bound of their age group. For example, if they are 32 they will fall into the 19-39 age agroup, and will be assumed to be 39 when making age-graded calculations.Coming Soon 👀
